So my wife is currently taking a course at the UofC and I generally sit in on it b/c it's related to the work I do as well, but last night was her midterm so I didn't go to the class. However, we live far enough from the university that even though I didn't go to the class I didn't really have time to go home so I decided to just kill some time by finding a computer. I found one in an empty class room and decided to watch this video on the projector :)

Bad picture b/c it's on my camera phone but you get the idea... good times :)

You say your tank is "rimless" but it does have a rim :-)

I guess you are right all tanks have a rim of some sort.... But the term rimless in aquaria refers to the lack of plastic edging that lines the top most tanks. "Rimless" aquariums are held together mainly by silicon to allow for a clean glass edge along the top.

Google "rimless aquarium" and you will see what i mean. There is a ton of these tanks in Europe and Japan, its starting to catch on over here in N.A.

It's just semantics. If you want to appease him and those people who hate the term "rimless" call it "trimless".
