Broduer should have been pulled after 20 min. he looked rediculous out there.

this team canada is not the one i would have picked. how long can pronger keep making the team on his name alone.

this is funny, Brodure should have been pulled, canada choked.. you guys make me laugh.

flurey will never play in these olympics.. he is an alternate not good enough. I don't think Lou would have done any better last night but who knows.. Marty didn't let in any easy goals.

as for canada choking, saying that is a joke.. Canada played awsome last night but they were faced with a goalie who is arguably the best in the NHL at this time, who had the game of his life last night. don't care how good you are when that happens.

now one thing I was disapointed in was the refs. there were 4 holding, and two goaltender interferiance penilities that should have been called in the 1st period alone agasinst USA. overall I got the feeling the refs were going for the US.

I agree with the reffing.. but I am used to seeing that...

What I meant about Turco was playing the puck away from the net... B or Lou is no where near Turco's ability when it comes to that. Stay near the net, and don't give it away.

Jump on Marty some more guy's, if pucks' wernt going off defensemens skate's and people mowing over marty. I think that accounts for at least 2 goals.

Any goalie can look like a star when the puck is shot right at them , even the save against iggy was nice looking, but he had to move his hand like 6 inch's . Whoop ti do....

Id take any of canada's goalies over miller any day of the week.

In any hockey tournament, be it NHL playoffs or the Olympics, a teams goal tending dictates if a team will win or lose. Broduer was not playing his best game last night. What the hell was he thinking with that baseball swing?
Canada needs a hot goaltender, and hopefully Lou will rise to the occasion.

And I agree with a previous comment...Pronger has no business playing on this team. We need some toughness and meanness in our corners. Robyn Regehr should have been picked. He is not an offensive threat but he plays it tough in his own end.

That poke check aka baseball swing drove me nuts honestly I think Lou would of rose to the occasion last night if he had played.

I have to also agree the refs seemed very one sided.

when did Turco make the team??

Now Brodure was havign a hard time but if you noticed it was the US game plan to make him play the puck on his off side.. and they did a damn good job of it. it was comented on several times during the game.

Louongo should have played from the start. I wondered about Brodeur even being chosen for the team. HIs last month in the NHL has been his worst in 12 years. This may not be a bad thing however, Team Canada is going to get two more games under them now as a team before the medal rounds start and that will give them more time to gel. Its not that big of a loss, sure it sucks, but look at the juniors, they beat the USA then lost in the gold medal game. This will make a gold just that much sweeter. And it will give the team an eye opener on what they need to work on, mainly shooting the puck and working the body. NO worries. Plus I can watch two more games then I would have got to!

actualy Pronger is mean and tough.. problem is they are play international rules.. so you have to be carfull how mean and tough you are or you spend the rest of the time watching from the stands.. personaly I was surprised sheldon suray didn't make it.. but then he got hurt so it wouldn't have mattered anyways.

there are a few others I would have rather seen on the team but I guess thats why we have fish tanks and don't run hockey teams.. people who know a lot more than us are making the desisions. over all team canada is very good, this was the hardest team they have played and the fact that miller had a preformance of his life is what stopped us.. if we played again today witht he same players we probably woudl win.. unless miller can pull two preformances in a row out of his A$$ which is unlikely.

look at the stats, we killed them in shots on net, prosession time, hits, ect.. we were skating circles around them .. but Miller rose to the ocasion and played way above his normal preformance level.

and Lou's preformance for almost 2 months befor that was just as bad.. both went on a slump befor the olympics. I like lou and I like Marti, so it is a hard choice.. I give the edge to marti as he is more consistant generaly..

one thing we have to remember is men's olympic hockey isn't like womans where the rest of the world is no good, this is more like allstar hockey ever since the NHL players have been allowed to play. so ya we have the best goalies on pretty much every team, but we also have the best defencemen, forwards, ect.. so they guys you normaly see a couple times a year that score on Lou/marti when they play them are playing every game against him now, so there will be more goals than normal.
