I myself have no interest in trying any Mac, but my friend loves his... He hates noise, and the MAC is near silent.

I can say they have some neat designs, all in the monitor, kinda cool... but not cool enough to make me switch.

Mac has 15% market share, which is good, and it will probably keep growing, making Microsoft change things themselves. Competition is always good.

I am just waiting for the virus/hackers to start going after the MAC, with their market share growing, it will be just a matter of time. Then even Mac users can't claim to be virus free. Please no flaming on this comment, it will eventually happen.

I don't know my Vista desktop has run for two year with less than say 10 reboots and not a problem. windows 98, ME, and 2K really made the PC seam worse than it is, and added a level of difuculty to get things to work properly, Vista went a long long way to fixing that and windows 7 is way way better than vista.. MAC did a good job on creating a "computer for dummies" when 98, ME, ect were the PC operating systems and brought them selves out of the dark a little more, but there is still a long way to go for software support to catch up befor they will be main stream.

My aunt has a Mac and personaly I don`t like it but that could be cuz I am used to what I use.

I'm going to get the 27 inch iMac desk top and dual boot it with Windows 7......... best of both worlds :)

Cheers,

I don't really follow the whole war between mac and pc anymore. I was on the other side until only a few years ago. If mac really does have 15% now they have really made some tremendous leaps (nearly doubled) since I last heard the numbers.

I love not running a virus scanner (re: memory hog) but if mac had been the mainstream system I honestly believe the windows users would be the safer ones not vice versa.

I had forgotten all about the noise issue tho. I'm just used to barely hearing my computer but yeah that actually is a big plus to running a mac vs your average pc.

I do love the Mac commercials, I just howl!

Now that is GREAT marketing.

User CP ---> Contacts & Friends ---> uncheck "Greenspottedpuffer" ---> Save changes
