The Bargain Shop. They also had 10" box fans for 15 bucks.

Central AC for me. Keeps everyone in the house from over heating, including the aquatic inhabitants :-)

Oh for sure, my living room never rises above 22C. Love my 10 000 BTU an hour AC.

I found couple small fans at Walmart for $10 btw. Central AC would be nice but can't afford it

Cheers

I bought a portable AC (the type that has vent tubes) last year in August for 600.00 on sale at Canadian Tire. It works great... best 600 bucks I ever spent (not really, but it keeps me comfortable).

I found have tanks in the basement you can have better control. My tanks are around 78 to 82 depending on the day.

Forgot to switch on the fan today and my aquarium temp shoot to 90 F
No adding new corals till the heat wave gone.. another week ?

Marlin65 07-31-2009 01:32 AM

I was running at 84 yesterday and 81 today. running my lights at night and I run chillers on both my tanks plus fans. My main tank is upstairs though.
Soon I will have to add that 250w heater though to the 500w I already have.

I don't have a chiller. already turned on the fan and add ice block to slowly get the temp down. I guess I have to run the lights at night for the moment.
