Yes, but I prefer to keep the temp slightly lower. It also has to do with the temp of the main room where all my tanks are located.

When it gets too hot, I plug in my 12,000 btu air conditioner and shut off the MH. Then my place never rises above 24 C, even if its 35 C outside.

Fans are direct at the water's surface? That's where to aim the draft.

Two of my tanks are constant 78-80 but they both have chillers.
I have one more tank though that is running at 82-86 everything seems to be doing OK so far if not thriving other than my star polyps.
I might have to move all of inhabitants if thing go much higher though.
That or get another chiller.:twised:

Mine never goes above 82 since I air conditioned the house. Without the central air, the tank goes to 86, which I think would be bad.

Mine is around 78-79 in the early morning and creeps up to 82-83 in the afternoon. I have also reversed my photoperiod. It is hot in the Fraser Valley:biggrin:

Mine is 79 at night and during the day around 81. I am using a Deltec Eco cooler with a GHL controller to keep my temperature in that range.

temp

78.6 in the morning 82.4 when the hallides go out. I will hook my chiller up sometime this week. I like to keep it at 78-80. I will be experimenting with the profilux over the next few weeks. Turning fans on/off chiller on/off, lights on/off and see what works the best.

Same boat as Marie, I have a fairly high swing rate (from 77- 84 or so) softies, LPS and SPS all seem to do really well and I have had some fantastic growth so i'm not worried.

My tank has been hovering around 81-84 these past few days. No chiller and no problems so far. Last summer the tank reached up to 86-87 on hot days without problems.
