when I wrote snapper I meant dart, if that makes any sense...long day. But I've got a barracuda on order now, so no worries there. I need to pump water from the sump, through a T leading to the display (through a wall) and up around 7 feet to frag tanks...

Want a backup pump? :) Just in case...
I've still got a Little Giant TE-7-MD (3200gph - 1300 @ 50' of head  ) specs sitting in the basement |
how much Andy?

Ha..ha... Oh, you are looking for a pump. I just jumped on because I saw 2" barracudas for sale at Big Al's in Richmond the other day for about $30ea. Cute little guys...but I would be very interested to see the tank of the person who wants to keep a barracuda over the long term.
Geez, even I wouldn't do that. I think these fish have an undeserved reputation, but still....it is going to grow up to be....what...4-5 feet long, high speed predator? |
real baracudas? Or freshwater ones? Either way...rad RAD fish
|
Real saltwater ones. I saw them too and was pretty unimpressed. I don't think this is the kind of fish that should be sold to anyone except a very select few with supersized tanks.

damn im curious what your doing with a baracuda pump on a 90g (if thats where it's being used). I have a snapper on my 90g and it's clocked way back to maybe 30% in two return lines.

I'll be using a barracuda on a 50 gallon :D
But it's also got to pump water up about 7 feet into two separate frag systems as well as through the wall to the display tank where it will be split in two. NOOOOOOO powerheads going in this beast. I've got 89X the turnover in my 90 gallon which is a mixed reef. The 50 gallon will be all higher end SPS and a pimped out system |
