Cudos. Your right. I just finished making my old tank (48X18X24) into a sump that is why those measurement are in my head. My display is a 48X24X24.

Brad if you don't want it, just tell me when to come over and pick it up. That would be awesome. Thanks

Probably tomorrow night, I'm home all night. There's a few zeorocks mixed in, but you can sift them out!

Please post a follow up once you get it in. I'm having the same problem with 2 6100's in my 120.

Thanks!

No problem. Hopefully I can get the sand in the tank & I'll do an update after the weekend.

Actually, I recall the previous owner of that tank had this sand and was running 2 Tunze 6100 pumps and a seaswirl return. His sand stayed mostly where he put it.

I like it, It has always stayed put for me (135g.,2xTunze 6100's, Dart rtn). I have my Tunze's positioned so one flows across the back and one flows across the front, and they're on the multicontroller so the flow never directly clashes.

The verdict.
I finished adding this CaribSea Reef Grade sand. I added about 60lbs to my standard 120G (48X24X24). I have 2 Tunze 6080's pointed add each other. Return pump is is not a factor compared to the Tunzes.

Too be expected there were some small sand tornados and some very minor sand movements. Overall I must say the sand did stay put. Infact it didn't move at all after the first 2-3 minutes. I have no bare spots. I'd highly recommeded.

Thanks for everyones input.
