Depending on the magnet...probably quite a bit! especially if it's on a thin overflow vs. thick glass.

I use small mag floats . I have two mag floats with caps on them . One on my overflow and one on the back glass. In my last tank I glued to different cours two the overflow with frag glue and it worked well. They were two small pieces though.

You don't. They never crapped out or lost any flow. I was lucky in that sense.
Just don't let Jason Mck take them off with a knife. He could remove the cap but he cut the power cord. Chris |

I have several monti caps growing on my overflow. I just crazy glued small chips on (nothing to heavy) they grow fast.
