I wish I was so lucky, all my carpet surfers have never survived.
|
The sad thing is that he actually landed on tile...not carpet. Ouch!!
|
I'm glad he's ok. My carpet surfers never made it.

Great stuff! My second LMB was a carpet surfer. Found the poor guy too late. First one, newb mistake, didn't adequately protect my power head intake...RIP #1. Fortunately #3 is still with me. Sounds like you've got a trooper on your hands, he's a survivor for sure.

I hope it makes it.
Isn't it funny when we see a fish laying on the floor we panic and throw it back in the tank. Yet when we first buy it we take our time making sure they are acclimatized just perfectly, so they will ike the new tank. |
What is up with LMB's and their addictiion to carpet surfing ? I've had 2 now, and both have met their end in this way, one after 2 years, one after 24 hrs :( I have also heard of many others meeting the same fate. Is there anything in particular that causes them to jump or is just something that LMB's tend to do ? I'd like to get another one but after losing the last one in <24hrs, I'm kinda worried.
Glad to hear yours pulled through the experience, hopefully he'll learn from his good fortune :) |
Yup, he's still alive, fins are healing nicely.
I don't know why they do it, I've had him almost a year now and he hasn't before. |
maybe he just wanted to be closer to the christmas festivities?
Glad to hear he is doing ok. |

Yeah, but what he really did was get himself closer to the christmas woodstove! lol |
