Haha wow thanks guys! Yep this really was truly rare!
My reidi's always had hundreds of fry at a time, and one day I am looking at my usual tank full of seahorse fry and I see one squirming funny on the sand. I look close and sure enough I find this little guy(s)! Needless to say he did not survive, I think I just got a couple days out of him (them?) lol. Out of the thousands of fry over a couple years I only ever saw this one "oddball". I do recall someone on seahorse.org saying they once had a fry with two tails that survived until adulthood. And if anyone knows how tiny seahorse fry are they will appreciate the macro quality of the shot! I practically had the whole lens right in the water dish. :P Here are some more shots: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...0/2heads_1.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...0/2heads_3.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...0/2heads_7.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...0/2heads_9.jpg :) -Diana |
