Yes i do have a size issue (With my filter box that is!). I only have and 8"x8" spot to put a skimmer and my return pump...

Is the Coralife Skimmer crap as well? I have a 44gal tank.

Yes, usually the Coralife is considered at the lower end of quality. I believe much of the body is plastic and not acrylic.
