I knew I forgot to post something...sorry Troy :D So what do you think Doug....need a second unit?
|
eh ... um ... buh???
Oh I think you meant Troy.... :) |
right...

Depends on what else I run Brad. I am trying to run sumpless and powerheadless,{nice word}. It does need help. Not enough alone. I shut everything down and their was still an excellent current. Lots of rebound and movement all the way across my gravel bed but I dont think it would be enough.
Mind you, I am still playing with it. Took me half the afternoon, looking goofy at the bracket, trying to figure it out. Needed one of them engineers types. If I ran my sump, it would be enough with my 3MD return and the scrubber dump, {which is not much}. I would like to put another on the other end. I have to figure out my sump situation first. Because of the scrubber dump, I am going to have problems with my Tunze Osmolater top-off, just running from the overflows. Dont think it will work as the water fluctuates to much in such a small area. |
Brad, I have added a second.
|
And is it just awesome, or?? I see you're removing the scrubber...are the 2 streams enough?
Is the second a 6100 or the 6080? |
Both 6080. Moves some kind of water and still gentle. Totally amazing pumps. I have one on each end. The meeting of the two, sure blew some crap from the rocks. :) Still playing with postioning.
Yep, sold the scrubber. Its working fine, but screws up using the overflows for mini sumps, as it fills. Cant use my Osmolator. I,m sitting a 28in. beckett on the same shelf, fed my a Mak4, from one of the overflows. |
I also want to add a second, but can't decide which one. I think the 6080, but one of the smaller ones coming out next month might do it.
|
brad,
if you recall i have a rather large colt colony in the center of my display.(back center) in the future, do you think i can position a 6080 on one side of the tank, in such a way it wont blow the colt to bits? or would i need to remove the colt if i decided to use these pumps? |
