I'd be thinking bring up the Human Rights Commission and discrimination rather than Consumer Affairs.

Yes, especially if you can get something in writing. Otherwise it's pretty hard to accuse a woman of sexual discribination against another woman.

Better yet, go to the local newspaper. Or do they have another office in town?

Whats there PH # I am really good at being Polite with people like that... wait, better not give me number till AFTER you get your damages fixed LOL. But really, thjat is a pile of Horse Poo. Not letting you handle your own claims. I give companies heck myself if they dont deal with my wife. Like the Phone company, or whatever when they wont let her know info. She shares my last name, shares all rights to info and access as far as I am concerned.

Unfortunately some situations you find yourself having to be quite rude. I for one do not like doing this, but when I am pushed to this point I respond in kind. Aside from legal and or public relation type respones I would suggest you make yourself very annoying, call them every 15 minutes and be as forceful on the phone as you can. Don't threaten, ie if you don't....I'll come down there, because then they could and probably would call the police if you showed up. One suggestion I receieved from a friend of mine would be to contact legal aid in your area, they will suggest a possible legal course of action...and free. If you are going to go down there in person DO NOT tell them first. Try the old I was in the area and was hoping to rectify this situation. If you don't get some sort of rectification to your standards ...maybe we can all call and complain. :)

Is something though, you hear all the time companies passing around your personal info without your consent and here's one that that won't even open to you.

I ended up calling a couple of numbers a few digits off of the main line this morning. I finally got through to someone who acknowledged that I as a person can manage my own claim. I hope its going to finally solve itself now. Thank you everyone for your suggestions!

don't some people just make you want to accidentally choke someone:) Depending on how the accident occured most parking lot accidents are considered 50/50 responsibility without a witness. I had a guy hit a truck I used to have and I had to pay half. His truck wasn't even worth the damage on mine. He was very good though and payed me half of the damages. I think he thought I was going to kill him as I was a little perturbed when it happened as it was his fault. Hey Catherine, let me know if you need a man to take you to vote ;) Sheesh!
