Oh I forgot to ask how long you have had your red seastar? I had a blue 1 but it sadly died on me..not sure why..just wondering what you do to keep them happy. I heard they have a short life span maybe mine was already quite old.. still unsure of the cause.

Very nice! I especially like the blue eyed candies or what ever they are called. Wish i could get some out here.

the blue linkia stars are difficult to feed, or at least their diet is uncertain and in an aquarium, most likely lacking. I have heard that you can manually feed them, but this is a chore.
The red stars supposivly last longer, but their diet is also largely uncertain. |
Hey Raf, any idea "what" you could feed a linckia? I heard that too, and tried, but I never could get mine to accept anything. Mine lasted for about a year and a half in the end.

By far one of my favourite aquascapes. I love the look. Your tank is amazing, full of colour and is extremely clean, neat and tidy.

I just tried to get the red sea star to eat some krill today, no luck. I'm sure he would eat it but he wasnt interested in holding on to it so it kept floating away. I even 'pinned' the krill under the sea star and he just moved away from it. Hehe. I hope he'll live a while, there's lots of stuff he could eat in my tank. I have lots of sponge too.... which I actually hope they wont eat.
Thanks for the comments everyone! :D -Diana |
looks bigger than 90gal for some reason.. maybe because of the cave on the right. very nice.
