I keep finding other really beautiful clams, e.g. Kari's clams, but either I can't accomidate them at this moment, or I can't get to wherever they are to be picked up. Lately as in the last two weeks, I've seen probably 6 clams I would happily aquire, if I had the space.

...nice job christy, you with all your pretty clam photos....now I want a bigger tank for more clams...darn....I guess I'll have to upgrate! :)

Thanks - the squamy actually is now so big I cannot do a top-down shot of it and get the whole clam in the frame. :)

Clams are the main reason I started in reefing, got into SPS cause I figured if I have to keep parameters up for clams, may as well throw in some pretty colored sticks as well.

IMO depends on how badly you want it  My crocea was either $59 or $69 and I can't remember what I paid for the maxima. A crocea I had prior to that was $79 but died about 2 weeks after I bought it

I try not to pay more then $50 a clam unless its crazy gorgeous. Normally I pay around $30-40.
