Yeah just 5g. It seems to be the perfect amount as my tank responds quite positively. Anything more and it seems to be unhappy.

50 gallons per week, but I'm not positive how much water I have overall....My guess is that is right around 10%.

8-10% on a 50g weekly - has a Deltec MCE600 skimmer

what is a turf scrubber?

SeaHorse_Fanatic 07-25-2007 02:02 AM

Turf scrubber = refugium. Usually one filled with Chaeto or some other fast growing, nitrate absorbing macroalgae.

Weekly changes?

Last while ~10% about every 3 weeks.

ok i was just checking im right in the ball park then..... well i guess ... i havent done a water change in ummmmmmm 2 months:redface: just alittle busy at work.. i did a 10 gallon water change today so that is just under 8% and have another 20 gallons brewing as we speek to change out in a few days.. i have a big skimmer and a refug ( roughly 15 gallon) and fun a phosban reactor... i know make time for the tank!!! but in all honesty the is no alge and i have seen more coraline growth in the last month with now water changes then when i was doing them regularly in my old system

I stick to my No more the 5% rule.
In this hobby nothing should be sudden or quickly so small/Slow change is better for me.
