I have seen my snails do that. Last weekend I watched a big snail circle around a smaller snail, and then when the smaller snail started to rotate its shell around, the bigger snail released a milky white cloud.

I also witnessed a brittle star breeding orgy on the weekend. Pretty cool and definitely breeding.
