I saw the Hydor Koralia at J$L Aquatics a while ago. I have actually been thinking about replacing the Maxijet Powerheads that I currently have for one single Hydor Koralia - 4 Water Pump (1200 GPH) but I wonder if this Koralia would be too strong for my 30 gallon reef tank.

Thanks For The This Thread
I just wanted to say thanks for starting and adding to this thread. I am new to the hobby and decided to pick up two of the Hydor Koralia 1's for my 46g bf. Dropped them in on last Tuesday, I love them and more importantly the fish love them, my dom damsel sits about five inches away from one and swims for ages in the stream. I would advise anyone thinking about these to take the plunge, well worth the cost.

i was in hidden reef yesterday and they have a whole bunch. apparently they are a hot item. i was pretty impressed after looking at them. i think the housing looks a little cheap but overall very nice units

I picked up a 1 the other day. So far, it's a great little powerhead. I'm very impressed with it.

Just picked up one of the HK4s today. Very impressed with this unit. Good buy.

Pumps on the controller is a joy !
Sounds like a very good choice , however if one has a controller this is no use unless you want to put a timer on every pump wich i have done before and now i want them on the controller.
Re too much flow i have Tunze 6100 (3000 gal/hr) at %100 in my 36" inch tank and there is never enough flow IMO. I was seriously thinking about HK4 but decided to wait for Nano Tunze. may be by 2010 i will get it... And they said that these pumps will be in by Xmass 2006 ! LOL. |
Pacific aquaics in Newton has some int I believe also

Are any of you guys using them on half inch glass? I like the ph, but have heard the magnet may not be powerful enough to be used on half inch glass.
