New tank, new house, new year! Looks like a great beginning for all three

THE 90g gives you a lot more room to work with and you have truly taken advantage of the space. Looks fantastic.

Very nice aquascaping :D Great pics also. So how did you hold your rock work together ?

Diana 01-01-2007 06:49 AM

Thanks for all the comments, guys! I am very excited about this tank, as it gives a lot of room to play with, as Tom mentioned. It was a long exhausting day (I was biting my nails watching Anthony combine his tanks into his 220 gallon, and now I know what it feels like!).

Moogled, thats funny, Raf said he liked the look of the holding tank as well! He said it looked like a real coral reef from the top. hehe... no it was not intentional... I just plunked them all in there where I thought they wouldn't sting each other to death.

andestang, um, well, I did what many dont have the patience for. I fitted each peice together like a puzzle, which is why it took me so freakin long to set up. I'd say probebly 2 hours working on the rockwork alone. Its all amazingly solid, although I doubt it would stand up to an earthquake. Its not even resting on the back glass! Crazy.

Raf insisted on posting pics at this early stage (and he was playing with his new christmas present ;) ), but like all tanks it will only get better with age (even though all the contents are from tanks over 2 years old).

Be prepared for many pics to come!

As for the specs, they are not final. Right now this is what I am running, but the skimmer is from my old 20 gallon so it needs a deperate upgrade. I'm thinking of a Remora. Maybe when I get enough moola I will upgrade the lighting as well. ;)

-Prizm Skimmer (eck)
-Seio 620
-Tunze Nanostream
-Aquaclear 300 (for mechanical)
-Heater
-Coralife 4 ft - 4 X 65 watt PC
-Coralife double T5 - 56 watts

Thats right- no sump! Muwahaha.

What livestock currently resides in your beautiful tank?

Diana 01-01-2007 06:06 PM

Well, right now we have a pair of Ocellaris Clowns which breed every 3 weeks :D, a Yellow Tang, a Brazilian Gramma, a yellow anthias(we hope to get a school going sometime in the future), a mandarin goby which we only purchased because it was feasting on frozen foods at the store and 2 green clown gobies.

:)

Pan 01-01-2007 07:14 PM

so with the school of anthias, how many fish are to going to max your 90 with?

Diana 01-04-2007 02:38 AM

There will be around 15 fish, but many of them, such as the gobies, are very small. This is of course assuming that I can get away with keeping 6 or 7 lyretail anthias together without much of a fuss. We'll see how it goes. I'd love a hippo tang as well but I dont want to overdo the livestock.

I've already started to re-arrange things hehehe.

Look's amazing guy's!

Glad to hear the move went well, what with all the trouble you had at the end of the year.

Looking forward to seeing more pics-congrats on a move well done!
