Here is the Link for the stockman overflow I'm using on my 33g with a mag 3. I like the design, it's smaller than the Durso and simple to remove and clean. I'm not sure how easy it would be to find the parts to up size it, but I'm sure you would have room for 2 if you needed.

I know this is a little late, but perhaps it will help to reaffirm your decision. Personally, I find that the diagonal overflows look much better than the corner box ones. Of course, this assumes that the diagonal overflow doesn't jut too far forward. I think the digonal overflow is best used on fairly wide tanks (24" preferably) but would work out ok on an 18" tank as long as it was kept as small as possible. But I'll say it again: I think the diagonal ones look better than corner box ones because they're more continuous.
So, good call on the overflow, and show us some pics when she's done. :) |
Here we go.... I just finished my stand today and received my tank yesterday. Now I have to build my hood.

Sea Star recommended I put 1.5" of plywood on my metal stand, then short pile carpet, to take up any in perfections. I have also seen 1/2" dense foam use.
