I think it's 3/4" on both input and output. Can't remember

Or do you mean hole size for the bulkhead? oops

Steve, don't know if this helps, but I used holes for 1" bulkheads and stepped it down to 3/4" tubing for the GenX. Schedule-40 1" bulkheads require a 1 - 3/4" hole.

well I ran one for a hour last night and man are they loud. mind you my stand was all open and such. is there any tricks for making them quieter? like putting rubber between the stand and them?
Steve |
I have mine sitting on a mouse pad and the plumbing is the clear flexi hose so any kind of vibration might be absorbed. When the stand door is closed I don't hear much of it.
Sorry to hear yours is a bit loud... Honestly mine is one of the smaller contributers to the "tank noise" phenomenon I have going... the fans are the worst. |
well I picked up 6 feet of 10lb carpet underlay today so i am going to try that as a pad to quiet them down.

Rasta, I think he means he got 6 ft. for EACH pump. I think it should work. I told him about the 2 pads and duct tape trick, but he didn't like that.

I might try using it to line the stand as a sound proofing in areas to help cut down on the noise also. Steve |
