Hey guys...

I ordered the sea whips from http://www.seacorals.com. However I DO NOT reccommend ordering from them. Find another source... it was a pain in the butt for me to order from them. Not only did it take several weeks for them to AKNOWLEDGE that I had placed an order... but it took almost 2 months for them to even ship the whips. AND THEN to top it all off they sent me the wrong ones, the cheaper of the two, and I have yet to hear back from them, and if they are going to credit me the difference (granted its not very much, but still, they have to).

All in all, not worth the hassel.

I've always found the FOWLR tanks "missing" something...but seeing this tank, with the sea whips added...makes me want one now LOL!

Thanks for sharing!

Hey Raf do you have any shots of the Vanuatu rock,
I was thinking of using some when i set up up my 115.
How are the shapes and was there much life on it?
Did you get it from J&L?

Raf 02-09-2006 11:45 PM

Its actually a mix of vanuatu and fiji... but I think its mostly vanuatu.

The vanuatu I got from Big Als and the Fiji came from King Eds. Its more intricately shaped, lighter rock than the Fiji. It had quite a bit of life on it but in a fish only setup they picked most of it away anyways. Also I had to medicate the tank a few times which took more of the life off. Out of all the rock I've had, Jakarta has been the best in terms of shape and life.

I like the Vanuatu rock for its shape and life. Mine has started a bit of coraline growth since I got it on boxing day. It also had some various macro's on it.
