to elaborate (for those in question) pulse start and HQI ballasts use an ignitor to offers the good punch of juice to start the bulb...strangly enough, this huge jolt of electricity from the ignitor is easier on the bulb than a standard magnetic ballast's fire, in turn giving your bulb longer life :mrgreen: |
