Heh, but I did mention.... in this case, these nudis eat zoanthids. Other nudis, tropical nudis that are extremely colorful and desirable just don't last in home aquaria from what I have read.. their diet is unknown for the most part... but in THIS case... zoanthids is what they feed on. Lots of reading on RC zoanthid forum about these little buggers... I think I may have a couple myself, haven't spotted any yet though. They can be very, very sneaky and blend in with the color of zoo they are preying on. It's actually pretty amazing IMO.

Jenny, these nuds are really not good for anyone's tank unless you are trying to have an all stoney coral tank. They will eat all zoathids and cloves and gloves. The only reason I'm asking if anyone would like them is b/c I've heard there maybe someone trying to create an all stoney tank. Once they have rid all their small softy polyps these nuds will die off.

Most nuds are not reef safe, but in a fish only with live rock tank you could probably keep one, but like mentioned, they need a constant supply of food and don't tend to live very long in a home aquaria. This can get very expensive as I'm fairly sure they feed on only live foods like sponges, byrozoans and tunicates. Oh, these guys are toxic too! If you want one wait a year or two once your tank as fully matured and in the meantime do lots of research on them. I think the colorful ones are very beautiful, but I really don't trust myself (whether I'm experience enough or even able) to keep them happy and alive. Good luck and happy researching

Hey StirCrazy
Why wait for some nubi's to help get rid of your schrooms, I'll be more then happy to take some off of your hands.

actualy I am thinking of holding a rock exchange when I am ready to tear down the tank for cleaning, you bring me a bare chunk of rock and I give you the equivalent loaded with mushrooms or algae.
