so what is a good version?

I don't remember the version off the top of my head. Just run a scan with adaware and it should clean it up.

given you use a friendly client, you can tell it what files from the torrent you want to download, incase you only want one or two files.

I found bittorrent rough until I figured out how to use it to most of it's potential.

I find with kazaalite, etc. you get a lot of bogus files that aren't even 192kbps 90% of the time..

I use limewire.

decided to not bother with those sites any more and now just buy the songs on Itunes.

Which is not always good, since there are a lot of songs that are not available.

I use mIRC ... it's good for downloading full albums. A bit complicated to use at first, but once you get the hang of it it's the best of the best. Full albums can be downloaded right away, and (usually) always 100kbs + speeds .

For individual songs I use limewire as well. Limewire, Kazaa, all the p2p are crap to use.. too easy to get infected with viruses, trojans, worms, spyware, adware.. you name it. You're taking a risk using any of these programs.. or should I say a higher risk.

Well atfter having Limewire on my computer for about a week, I get a mysterious computer problem.
I start up like normal, comp seems to boot up then displays the "It is now safe to turn off your computer" banner and off it goes.

I have no idea if this is actually related to Limewire at all but seems to coincedental to me. I believe this must be a virus, if it is it slipped through the AVG virus scan I have.

In a hurry to fix this problem and also in desperate need of an upgrade I picked up a new computer on Sunday.

Does any one have any suggestions on how to ensure this never happens again? Remembering that I am kinda computer illiterate and I need things spelled out to me.

I want to keep this computer running good. Thanks.
