The Reef tank is cool for not only the overall effect, but the colour effect they have on the corals too. In my Cichlid tank, there is just enough light to see the fish as shadows (for lack of a better description) slowly swimming about. It's just as relaxing to watch a tank under moonlights as it is with full blown lights, IMO. |
I honestly don't know if there is any real logic behind them. I have two one watt units in my Coralife Pro.. Granted they give some nice, if weird effects. However, I think they are totally unnatural, therefore they are not on very much. As I have said before, they are are a nice marketing ploy. :eek:
