The first two pics definitely look like cyano to me.

Try to think of how this could have happened... what have you done to the tank lately? if anything.. has anything died? new lights? overfeeding?

New MH's about 3 weeks ago. Other than that. Nothing new.

I just tested the water again.

Nitrites = 0
Ammonia = 0
PH = 8.2
Nitrates = 0-5
PO4 = 0

It also wasn't NEAR this bad until I actually started using RO/DI a couple of weeks back too.

Those pictures are far too big. :mad:

I'm thinking maybe it could be from halides.. but 3 weeks is a while. I am not sure if they could be the cause..

And yes.. the pics are a little on the huge side lol

When you say new halides, do you mean new bulbs or an upgrade to MH?

Gizmo 08-12-2005 12:58 AM

New halides to the tank. Never had them until then

Looks like the dinoflagellates that Tony had awhile back. Here are a couple of threads about the stuff:

Thanks Beverly, that sounds errily familiar, I am going to shut down the MH's over the weekend while I go on vacation. Hopefully when I get back it will start to get it. Stupid Snot. :evil:
