I've seen discus and betta conferences/shows but I've never seen a show for any saltwater fish...

Just wondering. Do fw fanatics go to other cities/provinces just to see someone else's fish tank? I have  & I know several other sw friends who've also done the same. If so, then yeah, we're all nuts

In people who dont keep fish's eyes, I would agree, and from my perspective, we are all nuts lol.

Well it's all been covered now but hey heres my two cents...
I think (from very little experience.. almost a year) that saltwater is by far more "hardcore" I think it is much more complex, demanding (in more than one way) , and time consuming than a FW tank, hands down. I had FW for 2 years before the SW switch... and I was in shock once my SW was up, with only two fish, and some liverock, I had more maintenance in 2 days than I would have had in 2 months with my FW tank lol To me the bottom line is... saltwater tanks are demanding, they NEED you.. every day, just to be checked up on.... and that means our livestock, our hardware (just to make sure) .. we all know that when we get home from work the first or second thing we do is check on our tanks..... as with FW , you are much more at ease. (IME & IMO) I know this is side tracking from the "hardcore-ness" but I am definitely going to say that SW people are much more hardcore than FW lol... (IME & IMO) woot , just my .02, right? |
