I have dual 4" on my DT and a 7" on my frag tank and both are quite annoying....I fill the socks with filter floss to quiet them down but ive been on the hunt for plastic mesh pots I can just fill with filter floss to eliminate washing socks all together but this looks interesting.

all it does is stops the noise of the water entering the socks, doesnt prevent cleaning them, i use the nylon filter socks to make them easier to clean as you can just rinse them under the tap for a second to get them clean |
