I wonder, seeing how its a FW tank and is probably not going to be lite anywhere near the same extent than is done on our reef tanks, will moisture actually be a problem? I've got a 66 gallon and 70 gallon tank in the same area of my home (where the 70gallon is lite 12 hours a day for my plants with 4x55watt pc lights and the 66 gallon used to be lite 12 hours a day on NO flourescents), and I've never had a moisture problem. I recall in my old home, my father kept a rather large tank for his arowana (I think it was at least a 180gallon tank) and he didn't have moisture problems neither. Fact is, I think my 30 gallon reef gives me more moisture problems than my two FW tanks combined.

Better safe than sorry I suppose

Could that be because generally Sw don't have glass tops? The water temp is within a few degs of each other. SW does have more surface aggitation to increase the evaporation. Hmmm..... Maybe I'm worrying about nothing. On the other hand if it does get moist, maybe the wife won't want to be there. Another plus for no ventalation
