Yup, they are history. Just got this email:
"Dear Big Al's Calgary customers,

We are writing to inform you that our Calgary Supercentre location has officially closed its doors. It has been an absolute privilege supporting the aquarium, pond, reptile, and pet hobby needs of this beautiful community, and we thank you for your loyal patronage over the years.".....yada, yada etc.

They gave up 2 years ago. The one in Edmonton actually tries

more like 5-6 years ago they stopped trying, that place has been bleeding money after the first couple of years. It's sad, I'll miss them.

Bummer! One less LFS to go to.....

Wish they had a fire sale before they closed shop!
