I think ideally AVI would be best.

Quinn,
Aren't AVI files quite large? Mitch, That was beautiful. I love watching other peoples' tanks - it's actually relaxing. When I look at mine I often end up thinking about logistics and maitenance and upgrades :frown: - Chad |
Fish, it depends on the encoding. I tried with full frames (uncompressed) and the 7 meg MOV went to ~200 megs. However using a decent codec fixes that nicely. With RealVideo you might be able to get the video even smaller but it's not a popular format.
So, for people without Quicktime (hope you don't mind Mitch): http://www.ckxu.com/quinn/1staquariummoviexvid.avi - 5 megs - Xvid codec, if you don't have it, get the Nimo codec pack from http://afreecodec.com/codec_pack.php before attempting to view the movie. http://www.ckxu.com/quinn/1staquariummoviempegavi.avi - 15 megs - Shouldn't have to download any codecs other than the ones that you have with WMP. I recommend downloading the movie and then viewing, not streaming. |

I prefer the quicktime version. Mitch |
Yes there is a slight decrease in quality. I only tried two of about a dozen codecs included with my encoding software, others might have produced better results.

Teevee
You had better study up on those codecs hate to see your quality slip like this. |
Sorry to let you down Monzino.
