Nice looking tank Harvey. Now all you need is some nice bright zoos under that blue light.

so a 250w would probably be the best idea then?
I only have the choice between a 10k and 20k bulb also.

That pic doesn't do Harvey's tank any justice... the tank is amazing up close.

Hey thanks guys for the compliments!

If you aren't going to be supplimenting, then I would suggest a higher K bulb such as 14000K, or 20000K depending on how much blue you like. As for wattage, it really depends on what you would like to keep coral wise and if you plan on upgrading in the near future (it is a hassle to have to sell and buy equipment everytime for a new setup...believe me, I know).

Hey Harvey, I'm curious what pendent fixture you're using. DIY? Or bought?

mr_alberta 09-02-2004 12:49 AM

Hi Tony,

The pendant is an Sun Light Supply Reef Optix 3+ (longest name evar!)

Asmoa 09-02-2004 12:51 AM

where did you get it from?

mr_alberta 09-02-2004 01:05 AM

I bought it used off of someone on ReefCentral a while back. You can find some great deals on there sometimes.

I'm lighting my 45g cube (24x24x18) with a 400w Radium (or 2  ) Might be overkill, but I have them.
