Xmas miracle
I thought I'll give my old thread a lil update and show this Christmas miracle that tons of hobbiest thought was not possible to grow 2 diff types of acros together and have them fuse. Well few months later it's growing quite well and totally fused at all edges. Yup the green is however growing much faster than the purple but hey there has to be a winner =)

Awesome growth man! Happy reefing and merry Christmas!

Nifty. I've got a similar deal going on with green & red(maroon?) montipora. I don't have a recent photo, but below is a shot soon after I stuck a bit of the green on to the larger maroon specimen. Obviously the green was at a size disadvantage right from the start & due to various mishaps & growth rate inequities, it is being overshadowed. But still hanging in there. I may intervene & break off some of the maroon monti to give the green a better chance.

Years ago, had a purple, red & green monti cap that fused and scalloped together like that.
Thanks for the update. Anthony |
Did you keep any pics Anthony? Would be cool to see
