Thanks guys, been reading threads all day. Between the cyano and those little rust colored demon flatworms, I'm at my wits end.

Patience is key, as I am sure you already know GL.
What a great forum with all kinds of support this is.

Chemiclean the cyano, it's safe, fast, effective and it is a relief to see the cyano gone, sometimes the best of us get it, it doesn't necessarily mean you are not maintaining good husbandry or have high nutrients, it's crap that happens sometimes for no reason.

I just finished using chemiclean on my tank. I had a terrible cyano outbreak coulnt get it under control. It was suffocating and killimg my corals and in 48 hours my tank was clean of cyano. Make sure you know the root cause of the cyano so it doesnt return.

I've used Erythromycin in my FW setups when everything else failed.
It's simple to use and available at most lfs.

I have two sand sifting sea stars the keep my sand bed well disturbed. Very little grows on it... In the areas where the sea stars can't get to, there is a build up of algae/cyano.
