I understand you folks in the GVA have very low TDS tap water, as in 10 or less! Confirm your source TDS & you may find a 5 stage RODI or simply an RO without DI may be sufficient in your case. Adding more stages than needed will reduce water pressure at your membrane, making it less efficient & slowing production.

I purchased the 7stage aquasafe on ebay and im really happy since ive started rodi I have very little algae issues at all.we have amazing water in chilliwack but I believe high in minerals reading 60 on tds

The brand of RO system has almost nothing to do with the quality of the output.

TDS
Temperature
Pressure
Required output

All of these determine what you need. Don't get trapped into the fiction that more $ means better water. Once you know the requirements above you can get amore accurate answer.

In the example above with 10ppm TDS in the lower BC region you may be able, providing you have 60psi or greater at the source, be able to use a 3 stage 50gpd unit as the membrane will have a reject rate of greater than 90%, in some cases more than 95%, so if your other water parameters are good and you monitor the pressure pre-membrane and the TDS post-membrane.

So then the question is how long will RO/DI water store in the typical containers we use?

Other than food grade containers I wouldn't suggest longer than it takes to fill and mix with salt.
