I'm putting my money on it being a Octopus rubescens, which does stay quite small.

Just got him last night, haven't tried feeding it yet. Will try silversides and krill tonight.

I'm changing my guess to O. mercatoris, pictures show very similar characteristics. Plus I think my last guess is a cold water species so that can't be right :biggrin:
