please contact Aqua Digital for a original fuse from GHL
|
Thanks
Is there any reason I couldn't just go to an electronics store like radio shack or something and get an 8 amp fuse from them? |
Hi,
you can do this if you want. But: Please make sure that it's exactly the same type (8A, 125V, time-lag, UL/UR or CSA certificated!). And we made once the experience that there are fuses available which become very hot. Our fuses are high quality fuses and have a minimum power dissipation. If technical datas are ok and the fuse doesn't become too hot -> go to an electronics store. |
Thank you Matthias,
I am planning on grabbing a full set of GHL fuses from aquadigital. I just want to get this up and running again as quickly as possible! |
Hello,
first, I do not speak very well English. I have profilux II and I have a problem with "dosing pump unit (4)". I have connected them to the S1-S4 (digital). Extras-->Dosing Pumps ---------------------- Dosing pump Flowrate Rate/dosing Dosings/day Description ------------------------------------------------------------------ 1 ................... 60 .............60..................1................ .A 2 ................... 60 .............60..................1................ .B 3 ................... 60 .............60..................1................ .C 4 ................... 60 .............60..................0................ Extras-->Socket functions ------------------------- Socket Function Description ------------------------------------------------------ S1.........Dosing pump 1...................A S2.........Dosing pump 2...................B S3.........Dosing pump 3...................C S4.........Dosing pump 4 S5.........Timer 1............................T5 .......... .......... .......... I have marked "Digital powerbar connected on S1-S4" I have pressed the button "Program digital......." My question: If it is correct, where the hour of starting is programmed? Thanks for all. EgaReef |
dosing pump no 4 you have 0 for dosing days, so it wont dose anything.
|
Thanks, but..
No, the unit number 4 I still do not use it. But, unit 1 started to 00:00 hours unit 2 started to 00:07 hours unit 3 started to 00:15 hours all perfect one. The hour can be changed to start? Thanks |
Hi
in dosing mode the start time can't be changed, the times are calculated automatically. If you want to dose at specific times you have to use a timer instead of the dosing function. |
thanks.

hello,
I have another question (I want to connect two tunze 6055): I have connected to L1/L2 the module EVG-AP 2F with a single dimmable balasts (L1) and free L2. To L3/L4 I have connected MoonWB (L3) and free L4. If I buy the module YL2-1 (connected to L3/L4), I can connect MoonWB and a tunze 6055. how can I connect the other tunze? thank you |
you need 2 splitters and 2 cables "ProfiLux-Tunze 2".
Then L2 would be one pump, L4 the other. Of course the second channel of your EVG-AP would work synchronously to the pump which is connected to L2, but this is not a problem. If you don't want this you should insert a card with extra 1-10V-interfaces like the PLM-2L4S or PLM-4L. |
Thank you

Hi Mattias
I just received my Profilux Plus II and have a question. I am have a small problem with the main Profilux Plus II module. The main screen does not light up. The 5 selection buttons the circle with up and down arrows both light up but the information screen does not. Is there something within the program or the module that I need to do. Tom Ratcliffe |
Any uppdates!?

Hi,
here it is: new firmware version 3.07 What news features has been introduced? Regadrs |
Hi...
Two queries... 1. I would like to update my firmware from it's current 3.04 to 3.06. To do this do I have to update to 3.05 first or can I go straight to 3.06 ? 2. In the future will it be possible to utilise more than 8 x 1-10v interfaces ? Thanks for any info. Siiri |
@egareef:
in 3.07 we reprogrammed the calculation conductivity <-> salinity <-> density (we made it more precisely with more digits behind the decimal point) and we changed the displayed texts during calibration of the cond. probe @Siiri: 1. you always can go straight doing an update 2. I don't think so. For what would you need that? |
Thanks for the swift reply Matthias !!!
I actually have successfully updated my firmware already... I was just wondering about the number of 1-10v interfaces as I was considering getting your LED Spot Simu and that would take my total to 9 interfaces when I have everything up and running. Thats 4 for lights, 2 for pumps, 1 for fans, 2 for LED Simu. I have decided not to do this as my lights should be able to do all except Lightning which is really a novelty function anyway. Thanks Again... Siiri |
Is it possible now to run a Tunze Wave box in the latest version?
3.0.7.1 21.12.2007 If so how should I program it. In the Extras - pumps Modes or waves |
Yes it is
here is a copy of a post from another forum Just to start a thread to help Wavebox users discard the Tunze controller that came with it! At least I know the exact resonance value now! haha. I've read someone's tank of 4' with settings 2s Mine is 5' so here's the setup 5ft - 1.6s, 1-10v 0-100% Right Angled Short |
1 Attachment(s)
Okey thanks but i can understand where you hav eput the value in the pump "page"
See my attached image My new tank will be 3,6feet long and 3feet deep and 2,3 heigh nearly 150gallon |
its just my opinion but i think your life would be easier just sticking with the controller the wavebox came with and also it will keep from taking up a port on your controller
|
enter the values in "mode", "duration" and "waves" of the first pump group
the 1-10V-settings have to be done under "extras -> 1-10V-interfaces". I recommend to set the voltages to Min = 3V and Max = 8V, then the voltage output is similar to the output of the original controller. and last but not least: Its very helpful to read the manual closely, chapter "current" because we have a lot of options for the current simulation which can be set, many more like the original controller has. |
no disrespect to matthias because he is an amazing help but like i said to make your life easier, just stick with the wavebox controller
|
why use the wavebox controller?
with only a photo-led? it turns off when light is not present. with the profilux, we can even tune to a lower wave output! my take, ditch the wavebox controller like me! |
As said above
The ProfiLux tunze control features are way above anything you will get with the standard controller. How much is the Tunze controller? $200? More ? Tunze1 control cable = $10!!! There is no comparison taking into acount far advanced control features and cost! |
Does anyone know if it's safe to clean the calcium deposits from the PH probe with vinegar?
|
Yes providing you rinse it well after
|
Thanks!

New software 4 for ProfiLux
Hi
the new ProfiLuxControl II V4.0.0.3 BETA and the new firmware V4.00 BETA for ProfiLux is available for download: http://www.ghl-kl.de/Produkte/Aquari...l_II_V4003.exe http://www.ghl-kl.de/Produkte/Aquari...LuxII_V400.zip Many new features! For example free programmable logic functions! Important: Don't forget to save your settings and probe data BEFORE the update. You can load them back after the update. |
I have been using a Profilux II Plus system for almost a year now. Since I started my tank over a year ago, I have wanted to put in an automatic water change and top-off system. I have been told by my LFS that Profilux may have some equipment under development that may enable me to control this with my Profilux computer.
I have two forty-five gallon drums, one each for RO water and for salt water. The drums are in the basement and the tank is on the first floor. The tank is approximately 40 feet away from tank horizontally. The rise in elevation from the salt water drum is approximately 12 feet and the rise in elevation from the fresh water drum is approximately 7 feet. I have run three runs of ¼ inch water tubing from the tank to the drums (one for fresh top-up and two for water changes (one for salt water and one to get the old water to a drain)). I could also install electrical wire running between the tank and the drums if necessary. I would like to install a couple of pumps (one for salt water and one for fresh water) and then use water level monitors to control fresh water top-up and then set up with automatic water-change so that it changes out two gallons of tank water per day. Can you tell me whether I can use my Profilux controller for this or whether I will need to purchase a separate computer to do the water-changes and top off? Thanks in advance, |
Hi
This has been available for a long time now. The best way to achieve this is with the dosing pump assy, you can also acheive this with pumps programmed using the ATO software built into the ProfiLux control. Drop me an email at sales@aqua-digital.com we are the North American/CAD distributors and can guide you further.
