Morning on the reef.

What lights do you have on in the morning? Are those LEDs or t5s?

Nice setup you got there!

What type of wrasse did you add a page or two back? They are amazing!

That is two T5s. 2 blue+ and it's quite accurate in the pic. I've been considering adding a reef brite LED strip to the powermodule just to add some shimmer... I miss the shimmer.

I love the shimmer the led gives but find alot of great reefers out there still prefer to use T5s because it gives a powerful accent of color on the corals.

Wicked nice livestock in the tank man. Setup looks sweet :)

A little update. I got back from Mexico not long ago to find that both my Rhomboids and my male anthias had passed, for whatever reason. That hurts a little but what can you do, part of the hobby I guess. The deaths I am assuming are the reason for the GHA and turf algae I came home to, although nitrate and phos tests read negligible amounts I am thinking this is due to NO3 and PO4 being consumed (by the algae) faster than the tests can detect.

I have cut the photoperiod by an hour, been performing lighter feedings, bought a sea hare and ordered algefix marine. The sea hare has done absoluetly nothing so I think i bought a dud haha, I barely see him!
I am planning to pick up a small army of turbo snails to see if they will help at all as my current clean up crew is quite small.

Other than all that, I am fairly happy with where the tank is at right now and have begun to build the stand skin finally.

Here are a few top down shots, FTS and an algae pic.

Sorry about the rhomboids, it's not easy to swallow a 500 dollars lost. The more I look at your tank the more it reminds me of v1 rotate's reef in the sky from reef central. In time it will become a beautiful reef. Keep up the good work.
