So after adding up some receipts for fuel I've decided that it's time to move closer to town....
I spend an average of 500$ on fuel a month and on average 1.5 hrs a day driving

I'm about the same fuel/time ratio, but I'd hate your commute
I'm roughly $70/week and 45mins/day
The horses eat a lot of hay

I was commuting 2 hours a day back and forth to work. I move to the town my work was located and saved $400 a month and get to see kids alot more

Does anyone know why they put the drip catchers on the bottom of hand Sanitizer dispensers now? It's because the drips that land know the floor are eating through the floor finish. Imagine what that stuff eleven do to your hands using it as much as some do.

Imarine how often you'd be sick if you were never exposed to bacteria or germs because EVERYTHING was sterilized all the time. You'd get sick from putting your hands in your tank!

Imagine a time before hand sanitizers lol

You mean a time when our immune systems were strong enough to fight off a cold or flu without rushing to a doctor, waiting in line, and getting numerous immunizations? I do Lol. OK I'm done venting now.

Here's a random thought. My wife is pregnant and expecting in March. Why is it every time I tell someone with kids that were expecting, the immediate response is to ask, "is it your first?"

I think its to determine how much knowledge to share, in regards to the child being your first, sometimes new parents dont know little secrets or tricks to parenting, its like an open page to give advice...where as being your second child or third you pretty well got it down pat :)

Or it's just to find out if you really know what you're in for. :twised:

Yeah, you're kinda giving it away that it's your first and they're excited for you. Most couples after the first born don't really announce the pending birth of another. Almost like the thrill of it has worn out. Lol

Take it from a dad of 3 toddler girls. Weee.....

i can see your guys point. i just found it funny that everyone always asks that lol. as for the thrill, thats one way of putting it. id say more scary, exciting, terrifying, interesting, ..........and many others. Kinda just want to get it over so theres no more worrying, anxiety, nervousness and everything else as well

I have been slapping my fingers all night, I'm a little short on patience and too curt even on a good day. I hope the rookies realize the priceless and corrective responses they are getting from very experienced reefers.

Some great advice I received from fellow reefers who were already dads before my firstborn was born:

Do major water changes and set up your tank to almost run itself for the next half year or so after the baby is born.

If you have any big ticket items on your wish list, BUY it BEFORE the baby arrives, cause you're NOT getting it after the baby is here.

Learn to function while sleep-deprived & learn to nap when baby naps.
