I'm thinking I'm gonna bring my welder home just in case I have any long lasting power outages this winter

I hear you Anthony! I was/am NOT a morning person either! But now that Jaeden is in grade 1 I have to mobilize him (and Kira) to get him to the bus stop at 7:30.. Ugh. Last year when he was in kindergarten it was only half days and we opted for the afternoon to ease into it

spit.fire 09-12-2013 05:13 PM

ugg I woke up at 930... Too early

Oh I've been lurking in the shadows. But mostly just been busy renovating. We're working on the kitchen right now but we're just doing half at a time cause we're living here now.

Hope to post up some pictures soon.

Tank is wet now in the garage testing for leaks as its custom and there were some bubbles. Its holding water as of today after curing for a week. Then it comes in til I'm ready to stock. I'm working on some other things for it now but thats for another day.
Well thats the life story. Ha. Good to have a box of water again.

Proteus 09-13-2013 03:12 AM

Congrats ken on the weld and bout time you got wet again

That is a nice weld and I my hang a pic of that in the coffee room of the shipyard to give the boys a goal

Dearth 09-13-2013 07:35 AM

I work shift work and it is very difficult to make people understand that I can't just go out for the day or stay up all day when I have to work nights or work the weekends I find it very ironic and entertaining and annoying that most people have little understanding of a shift worker and that I don't get the same days off that they do or that I can't go somewhere cause I have to sleep or go to bed depending on what shift I work.

I work 4 12 hr shifts 2 day shifts 2 night shifts and 4 days off and my days off change every single week. It is actually quite difficult to explain that shift to most people but I have been working it for 18 yrs now and I love it. However again it is difficult to explain to people that I can't do this go there or do that and add in to the fact that I never have the same days off week after week and it really confuses people.

Sorry I was woken up one too many times today and was a little grumpy and somewhat surly with my words but only got 5 hrs left in my shift bed will be good today.

Happy Friday the 13th! Gonna be a looooooooong day!

michika 09-13-2013 04:08 PM

If you are a business and you ask clients to leave a VM to be contacted back.

WHY DON'T YOU CONTACT THE CLIENT BACK?!!!!

Logically, how can I spend money with your business on your good and services if you never want to acknowledge your customers?

Favourite new saying

"If you don't drive a truck, no matter how sweet the ride, how fast it is or how cool looking it is it ain't worth talking about if it ain't a truck"

Love it

Seth81 09-15-2013 02:56 PM

My Turck brings all the boys to the yard, and I'm like my truck is better than yours! And they're like mine's better than yours... lol obviously I'm busy at work!

Repeatedly into a brick wall, and it still wouldn't do any good. I am not a violent person, but I'd be willing to make an exemption!

Theirs a saying "Money will not being you happiness". The person who thought of this saying did not live pay check to pay check. Money would be a good start.
