Thanks for the comments and info, I still havent gotten a clean up sand crew yet though, I hope to be around to the shops within a weeks time to grab some goodies.
The past few days colors have really improved alot, some of the corals are really light, but I am liking this for now, Dosing of zeo is still in experimental stages though so no real dosing schedule yet. water parms are steady. CA- 400- 420 KH- 6.5- 8.5 Po4 0.04 salt 34 Here are some updated pics, sorry for some of the pics, they are a bit washed out. http://i496.photobucket.com/albums/r...000/canon1.jpg http://i496.photobucket.com/albums/r...000/canon2.jpg http://i496.photobucket.com/albums/r...000/canon4.jpg http://i496.photobucket.com/albums/r...000/canon5.jpg http://i496.photobucket.com/albums/r...0/canon1-1.jpg |

On the opposite end of the tank, I may move the solo Vortech to the centre, to see if it creates more turbulance, but other than that, I see no upgrading to other pumps. |

Hey everyone, wow, time flies by quickly eh.
How is everyone doing? I am sure everyone is busy with the summer and now the end of summer. Work has kept me busy these past few weeks, working on some new recipes, which include, edible candy wrappers, one bite egg's benedict, powdered bacon, liquid olives, and the list goes on. so not to bore you with that, the new system is talking off, I have finally seen some growth on most of all the corals now, and 99.9% of them have colored up, to what they used to be and a few are even better in color. I did remove a few pieces of liverock from the right hand side of the tank, as that big stylo was bugging me, it looked stuck out from the base. as well, if i didnt mention it before, I turned up the flow rate on the zeo RX, I have never done this in the past, but always wanted to try it, and so while some colors are slamming, others are a bit washed, so Its back to the drawing board for doising schedules. No new fish have been added, i am waiting for a shipment of Hawaiin yellow tangs to make the tank. except for some nass snails which I picked up from Red Coral a few weeks ago, thanks Kevin and Doug for those, they are really doing a great job. The sand is more clean and turned. so its finally started to look like a reef, he is a recent photo. liek I said Pinks and purples are slamming, and I just started up dosing Iron, to try and kick up the green hues on my scroll and table. http://i496.photobucket.com/albums/r...y1000/FULL.jpg |

The colors...crap I can't believe how fast things colored back up that's rad man. When can we expect bacon and olive frags?

the pinks and purples are almost neon, while the greens and blues are lacking abit FE, and K+ I got one more week of testing to do, and that should round things off. I am using alot less elements this time round. |
Yeah Brett, bacon olive frags, its worth a try.
maybe i can mix the powdered bacon with some glue and have a bacon flavour frag plug. The coral would be be getting all hungry. dreaming of some eggs or olives to go with that pimpin frag plug. haha. |

aerated choclate, is simply a home made aero bar, but way better as you can use high quality chocolate, and instead of this thin little bar of it you can make a brick size piece, which is insane to bite into. in my tests, milk chocolate doubled in size compared to : 60% dark chocolate 72% dark chocolate |

I used the zeolites, for frag plugs a few times, and used them to seed the Teatro tank. other than that they go to the trash. I did hear about a guy down in the states that used them for a pathway in a garden. Kinda cool idea. |
Hey John,
The new tank is looking great! I'd love to stop by and see it one day. I haven't logged on to Canreef for quite a while, I'm really busy with my new business. I've always admired your results so I happy that my first post in several months is a comment about your awesome tank  |
