We were going to buy that anemone shrimp, but we were worried if it tried to host in the gbta the clownfish would harass it, and if it didn't have somewhere safe to stay my trigger or wrasse might make a meal out of it, however they leave my sexy and peppermint shrimp alone, so it might not of been an issue, but I didn't want to find out the hard way if it was. Nice to see it went to a good home.

I posted the pics on my NR thread as well and looky what someone said it was http://www.thatpetplace.com/pet/group/6896/product.web That's exactly it. I wonder if the crested weedfish and the horned blenny are one in the same?

So I'm sitting watching the tank and all of a sudden I see hundreds of teeny tiny shrimp:surprise:. I think it's my new anemone shrimp releasing the eggs but then I notice one of my sexy shrimp happily expelling all her babies. I stuck my hand in and scooped some up and they sat on my hand and did little tiny jumping movements just like the adults. I'm so ticked that I'm not set up to raise these guys. I guess it's good food for my filter feeders and corals though:cry:.

Yup, that's me:love::grouphug: I love all my tiny darlings. One of these days I might just try raising some of the invert babies that happen in my tank but for now they just become food:pout:

It's too bad when that happens. I feel the same way when all my clown eggs are eaten.

Hmm, it's possible that some of those baby shrimp might make it in a 'fuge or something. Very cool! I have a large pair of Stomatella snails in my little 10 gallon that I have seen at least one of expelling 'something' in what looks like breeding behaviour... but I think they spend some time as plankton, so I don't expect to see small stomatellas sliding around anytime. It's awesome when stuff like this happens in tanks though... keep up the good work!

Thanks Coral Master

Picked up Coral Masters "Bird of many Colors" recently. This is the best shot I could manage to get. Thanks Greg for bringing it to Edmonton with you:biggrin:.

I doubt any made it. Maybe next time I notice a pregnant female I might be able to manage and catch her and move her to a small refuge. It is very cool and it would be awesome to have some survive. Hopefully you'll get lots of Stomatellas, they reproduce like rabbits in my tank, there's always babies.
