Daryll,
Its in a fairly bad spot for lighting, but the lights are 3-400w 14k and 2-250w 15k and 1-250w 20k....its sits closest to a 14k. Time to switch bulbs pretty soon,im pretty impressed with the ushio 14k, i might go for all ushio. your bubble gum is sweet....mines like hubba bubba while yours is big league chew...i get a toothache just lookin at it. Marc. |
Marc - My bubble gum was doing nothing for 8 months, it just sat there soaking up the light but not really improving (color or growth). Then 4 months ago the tips started sprouting..it's now one of my fastest growers. The BG got potential to be a big show piece..it's gonna look spectacular in your big tank !!.

Here`s the kind of hitchiker i get...
http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j2...shots001-1.jpg This thing was a tank, what he has tucked under his carapace there would shock you, i watched it at night snap off branches 1/4" thick and take them to his hideout for dinner. I bet if i had of chucked it on the neighbor`s lawn it would have just bust through the window to my house and hopped back in ! Marc. |

Marc I have about 12 of those little turds in my cube tank. It took me a while to figure out why I suddenly couldn't keep corals anymore in there (they kept disappearing).
I'm totally hooched though. 30" deep tank, the only way to remove them all is remove the rock. And it's all one big coral bommie with a 24" anemone on top. Why's that a problem? Because anytime it's moved, it gets annoyed. And when it's annoyed, it kills an entire tankload of fish. So I have fish that need to be moved. At this point I think it would just be easier to just set up a new dang tank. |
