Oh I see, the "value added" comments get credit for posts. Gotcha.

Don't want to brag but me and my team are down in North Carolina and just won a trip to Sweden for a week all expenses paid! We will be representing all of North America's Volvo Truck dealerships. Very proud of my other team members. There were a lot of smart people here. Just very excited.

Naw. Thanks! It was a technical competition. Got to tour the largest Volvo truck factory in the world, had lunch with the plant manager. they all come out and have lunch with the workers and customer. There was 4 teams from the states and us. It was no cake walk. It was a stressful day for sure. Got wined and dined with a bunch of big wigs. Got a walk through the research and development centre, very cool, although there was a few areas they didn't let us see:lol:. We also decided to drive 450 mi in a rental and visited the factory where they build all the engines and transmissions. It was a busy week and very little sleep. Flying home tomorrow..... I used to enjoy flying.....

I've just finished recovering from Daylight Savings ... and not 'cause I was tired

Settings all the clocks and electronics is not a big deal, but all the forgotten stuff is something else
Oh look, the house alarm is wrong, oh look, the doser timers are wrong, and the tank controllers, oh, and the night mode for the vortechs, and the timer for the air cleaner

It took me until Tues night to find everything that needed re-setting

You know, its only out of sync for a few months, why not just leave it for summer settings?? I didn't bother changing times on my tanks, just meant lights out an hour earlier. Now, its back to my original settings and I didn't have to do anything!!!!

Coralgurl 03-14-2013 04:57 PM

I love my job, I love my job, I love my job......some of the stupidest remarks, comments, questions and behavior from people is hurting my brain today. Like - Tim Horton's customers are blocking the intersection on the street, what are you going to do about it...um nothing, I don't control the STREET!! Or how about the guy who feels he needs to take a pee beside his truck in the PARKADE daily???? Seriously??? Ya, cuz the washrooms on your floor don't give the same aura, or you like **** all over your tires???? Or you are removing snow from the lot in a no parking zone, hope we aren't paying for that??? Yes, because no one walks there either. Sure you deal with the slip and fall lawsuit.....

And its only 11 am......

Talking about Talking Heads, in their song 'Once In a Lifetime', they say;

'There is water at the bottom of the Ocean' ...
I can't find it in their posted lyrics, but you can hear it in the recording ....

Makes me wonder if David Byrne knows there water in the middle of the Ocean ?

If a person needs to count pennies in this hobby it's time to find a new one.

 I wish it was something so simple.

A member on here is getting a 450g in a week from Dave at Concept. He asked me if I still have my blue line trigger. A few months ago the trigger was being a pita so I put him up for sale. Since then he has calmed down and hasn't been too bad. However he is 8" and only getting bigger so I can't deny that a 450g would be better for him. It'll just be sad to see him go even if he is a pita at times.

Here's a pic when I first got him 1-2"

Lovin' that I'm filing 2011 and 2012 tax returns for awesome refunds....hating that it's dedicated already. Might be a little fun money to play left over to play with.

Absolutely! Thankfully the guy that wants him seems nice and the tank will be twice the size of the one the trigger is in now.

ckmullin 03-21-2013 02:57 AM

In a rather serendipitous event, I found out today we have hyacinth and tulip bulbs popping up in our yard! Seems a bit early for Calgary but quite wanted.

Coralgurl 03-21-2013 03:30 AM

I actually sat out on my deck after work for a bit tonight! Can't say anything about spring flowers as I don't have them but it was nice to be out, even cracked the windows for a bit.

Its official. I miss fish.

And what's worse the house market in town is scarce. I keep hoping something well pop up for us and we can move so I can set up my tank.... its definitely a losing battle right now..

gregzz4 03-22-2013 04:55 AM

I heard recently that the housing market will stay 'as is' for the next 'number of years'
Sorry I don't recall the exact quote, but it looks like the market will be stable for awhile
You may have to look hard for 'that deal', at least based on the way the market is here in the GVRD

The Gov and Big Banks are playing with our money, so the market is apparently 'stalled', or some such thing I didn't quite hear on the news
Ya, I know ... big help aren't I ?

Or I could be completely wrong, and all you need is a Canreef realtor to help you out ...
