Does the Regal Angel nip at anything? or perhaps the better question is, WHICH corals does your regal angel nip?.

Both angels nip at just about everything LOL. They don't discriminate, but they do have their favs. Mostly they enjoy bothering the stags, which is OK because the stags (aside from a bit of retracted polyps) don't seem to mind. They don't seem to bother the more delicate corals like the deep waters, turakis, birdnests, etc. They also do not seem to care about my clams, or LPS or zoas. I think they have enough to pick at on the live rock that they don't go to town on everything else. I've had both angels for a while now and certainly have not noticed them bother any one particular coral to the point of death. I am going to conclude that when they pick at a coral, they aren't actually trying to pick off its polyps, but maybe some other organism on that coral. Maybe flatworms, copepods, or other such bugs. I don't really know though.

To be honest, I have actually never tried to get rid of them. They are in contact with just about every coral and clam in my tank but don't appear to be doing any damage. I've had blue cloves for years!

I've got 5-6 polyps of blue cloves in my 180... They will NOT spread for some reason.. :( You must have the good type..
