I'm baffled when I see posts about buying cheap/offshore LEDs, considering the higher-end ones are still having trouble keeping up with MHs and T5s

Nice bucket - hope it was reasonable
I've seen 'way' too many cheapos lately

Nano 01-19-2013 05:50 AM

Good point what'd did yours run you Mr Greg? Mine was $269

gregzz4 01-19-2013 05:57 AM

Don't know about the quality of your guys' new ones ...
When we bought our Tigrunner 250DX it came with a $400+ cap
It lasted for years until a newb dropped the guts on the floor
After that we bought the $150 specials

Nano 01-19-2013 05:59 AM

They've come down in price but you can still spend upwards of $500+ for some

Mine was around $225, got it at cost from the owner. I buy all my supplies and machine there so I get killer deals on the occasional item. I have known the family that owns it for well over 20 yrs.

Ok phew I thought you'd be like "oh it was after$50 on ebay" lol looks like I got a decent price too then.

Last night I bought The Lumineers self titled album. If you like folk style(I think) music check them out. If you listen to sonic 102.9 they sing the song called Hey Ho. Google "Stubborn Love" by the lumineers.

So I was sitting on my couch about to go mist down my gecko terrarium when Doug walks upstairs. I look over at him and mention how Reese must be hiding somewhere good cause I hadn't been able to spot him (in the terrarium through the glass) all evening. Turn back to the terrarium, open the door to it (about to start to mist it) and out from nowhere Reese takes a flying leap out of his cage, hits me, then lands on the floor! Needless to say I screamed (my heart pounded wildly) semi panicked for half a second (cause I realized my gecko just got loose) and my cat (whom I'm fairly certain would love to eat Reese) and my 2 dogs where just a few feet away, eek! Anyway, I looked down, and there he was just below me, thankfully I managed to scoop him up before he could go anywhere and got him safely back into his terrarium.

that's terrifying i hear ya. our beardie is getting crazy as she gets bigger when food is involved. also leaps forward when the door opens. my two cats split almost every waking hour past dinner time stalking either her or my fish.

Lance 01-22-2013 11:07 PM

Our Beardie is pretty laid back, but one evening a few months back we were watching TV and she suddenly flattened herself down on the branch, turned a darker colour, and began bobbing her head in obvious agitation. It suddenly dawned on me: the TV program was about eagles and she figured she was dinner I guess.
