Yes a very nice one indeed. Can't wait til it colors up a bit.

Now we need to see pics of that brain. Damn!

My wife pointed out to me that she feels the pokerstar monti is the most amazing coral in my tank... and I'm having a tough time disagreeing with her! We spend hundreds if not thousands on coral frags to have the best and the brightest when you can buy a PSM frag for all of $20.

I am the first to admit I get caught up in buying the cool new corals. But her view of what's "nice" in my tank encourages me to not only look for the newest and best, but the proven strains of the oldies as well :)

Yeah there are lots of tried and true winners. One of my fav Acros is the Sunset Mille.

HA! They're all gone by the time you get there.

Beautiful coral photography, really good build thread too! I feel very inspired.

Scythanith 06-14-2015 12:16 AM

Just picked up my two water tanks from Colby's! Thanks Concept, they look beefy! Hope the holes all line up ;)

AWC station stand is built! Now just to plumb it and program it all :)

Also I got the frag section lighting up and running. 3x36" T5's running off of an IceCap 430 ballast. PAR readings are ~150-200 in the middle of the frag section.

Coming along nicely

Scythanith 06-26-2015 11:48 PM

Got the recirculation plumbing in place. Waiting for stores to open tomorrow so I can get an o-ring for one of my unions. Then I can run some water :)

I just added 15 berghia nudi's to my tank to try and deal with a bad aptasia problem I am currently having. I am hoping that when I get back home after two weeks of work I may be able to see a difference but I don't feel it will happen that quick. It's going to take some breeding before there are enough to do the job. Plus my wrasses will probably be jerks and eat my investment. After this it may be filefish time or something along those lines.

My RO/DI unit and reservoirs are in a separate room since I don't really need to access them directly. I didn't want them taking up fishroom space. The water changes are handled by the profilux. The manual labour in my system involves turning a ball valve to empty new RODI water into the lower NSW reservoir. Then I open the lid and dump a predetermined amount of salt in and the next day the water change system gets right back at it.

So I have to make NSW. But I don't have to manually remove OSW from the tank or add NSW to the tank. That's all handled by the robots :)

The PE is on the tyree pink lemonade. My SSC is the one right below the pectina. The one below the SSC is my red planet.

The photo below the SSC photo. Between the photo of the Pectina, and the photos of the SSC. :)

Scythanith 11-10-2015 03:36 AM

This is my SSC. Well I bought it from Colby as a wild colony, and we thought at the time it was a SSC.

Therein lies my confusion! I was talking about the SSC imposter - it's a beauty. :D Your RP looks like my SSC at first glance (growth is different).
