Off to Walmart I go, luckily its open 24/7 right now... I just wish I could make her feel better... :( poor little Ava..

Have you tried hydrasense (aka saline solution)? I've had very good luck with it in the past when my son was congested. Nursing a congested baby is hell. If you don't want to run out and buy hydrasense there are plenty of recipes to make it online however it must be used within 3 days or so.

Nano 12-10-2012 02:10 AM

Yeah we tried that too. The vaporizer did the trick though or maybr it was the Vicks on the feet lol. But now I'm sick so its their turn to baby me :P

Should try it with the older model Reefkeeper 2.

:der:

Wonder which person sat in some office thinking that procedure up..

I found it fairly easy with my Pinpoint monitor

Its not for everyone. I tried it out, hated my peers and the sudden onset of snobbery that came with acceptance. I would regret never having tried it, but certainly do not regret for a moment leaving it behind.

kien 12-11-2012 03:29 PM

if it was easy everyone would be doing it.

Nice to see I'm not the only unhappy DA user
I've installed a Pinpoint probe on my RKE - here's to hoping it lasts longer than the OE garbage one ...

Maybe one day I'll run across an A.M. monitor

I use a Pinpoint probe also. My RK2 is pretty old, so cant complain to much. Still does its job, just cant see screen hardly anymore and the previously mentioned probe calibration.

Sounds like it's time for an upgrade, but I won't recommend what controller to buy as they are all so pricey

Coleus 12-12-2012 06:30 AM

you have LEDs. That gives you instant cool 'creds right there.. unlike us backwards old skool halide holdovers.

Ya, I walked out with a Kessil 350W and Radion but neither of them ended up over my tank beyond the trial period. Both great lights though. I'm just stubborn and prefer the look and feel of halides.

My deepest sympathies go out to the families of the children taken from us at the Newtown Connecticut massacre this morning.

It was inevitable that something like this was going to happen again, but yes, deepest sympathies. Extra s****y time of year for this to go down.

gregzz4 12-15-2012 06:11 AM

Although I feel for the families involved in the Newtown, Connecticut massacre ...
I feel more for our local Canadian families who are starving during this holiday season

Nano 12-16-2012 01:33 AM

I'm never going Christmas shopping this late in the year again! That was fricken ridiculous! Phewww.... Glad to be on the couch where I belong on a Saturday night.

Havn't even went shopping yet & thankfully I only have to shop for my ole lady. I have a strategy for mall shopping.......starts with my steel toe riding boots for footwear........ends with a get the hell out of my way look on my face. I'm usually done in a few hrs. & completely POed by the time I get home. :twised:
