Thanks John......Im just fortunate and happy that I had the forsight to move them to a stable environment before the tank crashed.....at least something substantial from version 1 will make it back into V2...

but John....clams all start off small and then slowly get bigger as they age:wink:

Tank has been stable for a couple weeks now so I added the first of the new fish.......first was a small 2-2 1/2" yellow tang (to me, my tank just isnt my tank without a yellow tang)and second was a small juvinille chevron tang.....super stoked to get one while its still in its juvenille coloration.......the yellow still isnt eating mysis or Michikas blend but is fat with algae so Im not too worried about him yet.......the yellow gave the chevron a bit of a rude welcome, but that has calmed down and they seem to have accepted the fact that they are both living in the same space.....the chevron ate greedily for the first time yesterday so Im jazzed about that......V2 has fish!:multi:

Woohoo! Congrats on the new fish. Chevrons are such neat looking fish but so damned hard to find

But Doug you make it so easy to harass you  and since I couldn't take him I figured your tank was the next best thing

well its been 5 weeks since the move and one good thing about moving this tank to a basement is, my temp hasnt been above 80 the entire summer:biggrin:.....and those of you in Cowtown will know that its been an unusually warm humid summer for these parts...... plus, my evaporation is WAY down so Im making way less water.....the tank is still a bit hairy but nowhere near as bad as it was three weeks ago......I added whole whack of snails(big arse tiger stripe turbos, and a mix of astrea and trochus) and a seahare to try and give the tangs a hand knocking this bloom back.....the freebie sps frags that I got from Wes are still sitting on the frag rack waiting for less hairy real estate to inhabit...... a couple have retained their color but the others have browned out....no doubt due to the elevated nitrates the tank is at....brown is ok.....they can come back from brown.....theres not really a heck of alot in the tank to take pics of, but heres a few shots for you anyway Greenmaster:mrgreen:

the barber visited the tank
